Anesthesia for Hepatobiliary and Major Abdominal Surgery
Transplant and Hepatobiliary Anesthesia - Mount Sinai Hospital
American Board of Anesthesiology; National Board of Echocardiography
I am a board-certified physician in anesthesiology and transesophageal echocardiography. I completed a fellowship in transplant and major hepatobiliary anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital, and I have clinical expertise in providing care for patients undergoing complex, major abdominal surgery. While I previously served as the Director of Transplant and Hepatobiliary Anesthesia, my academic focus now has shifted to the care of patients undergoing surgery for oncologic processes. I believe we are on the verge of significant breakthroughs in the treatment of cancer and I am truly excited to be part of the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Over the course of my career, I have worked to deliver cutting edge care for patients undergoing complex surgery. This has included utilizing the latest monitoring techniques, including point of care ultrasound and transesophageal echocardiography, as well as utilizing novel techniques in regional anesthesia to minimize patient discomfort. I have published work in several major academic journals in the field of anesthesiology and have served as an associate editor of an academic journal.
My primary motivation is to provide the highest level of care to each and every patient who entrusts me with their health.
